Dr. Robert L. Wright, MD

Dr. Robert L. Wright is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP) with more than three decades of experience in emergency care and physician leadership. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his emergency medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, where he served as Chief Resident.

Over his career, Dr. Wright has held senior leadership roles across some of the nation's largest emergency medicine and urgent care organizations — serving as National Medical Director for Emergency Medicine and Hospital-Based Services at ApolloMD, overseeing thousands of clinicians and millions of annual patient encounters, and as Medical Director of HCA Healthcare's urgent care and telehealth network. He has directed emergency departments and freestanding emergency centers throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, building clinical quality, EMS coordination, and performance-improvement programs. As part of Focus Physicians Group PLLC, Dr. Wright brings this depth of operational and bedside emergency expertise to freestanding ER care across Texas.
